Antananarivo, 1 December 2022 AXIAN Telecom, one of the leading pan-African telecom groups, has announced the appointment of Ms. Seynabou Ba to its Board of Directors. Ms. Ba, Founder of ESG Africa Ltd. and Group ESG Director for Azura Power Holdings Ltd. joined the AXIAN Telecom Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Independent Director (NED) on 1 December 2022. Ms. Ba also serves as NED on the Board of Directors of Ecobank Senegal. She has over 20 years of experience in sustainability. During a prestigious career with the International Finance Corporation, Ms. Ba was the Manager for the Environmental, Social and Governance Department in Sub-Saharan Africa. There, she led the organization’s efforts to promote sustainable private sector investments while overseeing ESG risk management and performance for new businesses. Prior to that, Ms. Ba served as Head Environmental Underwriter at XL Group in London and at Zurich Insurance Group in London, New-York, and Toronto.
